For this month’s blog, I’m sharing a personal story that I hope will resonate with anyone reading it. It’s a look back at my spiritual journey and how I discovered mindfulness, crystals, moon magic and the power of embracing a new perspective.

To start, let’s go back a few years to the time in my career when I was a finance manager reporting to the board. Now back then, immersed in the corporate world, I was the only female working alongside mostly men. I would have to say that I was more in touch with my masculine side than I was my feminine. I guess that isn’t a surprise given the environment I worked in. I’d also never heard of feminine energy, never mind being in touch with my feminine side! Finally, I’m pretty sure I couldn’t have talked about moon magic or crystals at work, not without losing my job…

From the corporate world to crystals

So, my spirituality has really materialised since I became self-employed about 12 years ago. I became interested in the law of attraction and that opened me up to learning about my spiritual side. This process really sparked my spiritual growth. That in turn started my mindfulness journey, and I later became a qualified LOA practitioner. I love helping other people learn about the universe and how they can control the energy and thoughts they give off.

I have always been drawn to the moon, so I suppose it’s natural that my spiritual journey eventually led me to moon magic. If you’re new to the subject of moon magic, I wrote a blog about it last year that is a great little intro to it all – read it here

Immersing myself in moon magic eventually led me to crystals and their healing power. And from there, my spiritual journey then continued from crystals to the angelic realm and understanding my relationship with angels.

I’ve always been aware that I have a presence around me, that are my spiritual guides (people I have lost) and higher beings like angels. Now you might think I’m totally gaga and this is all too woo-woo for you, but bear with me. The more you are tuned to your spirituality, the more open you are to suggestions of angels and the powerful healing magic of crystals. I’d love to talk more about crystals now and share the ones that I think have the greatest impact on my life and wellbeing.

A closer look at the power of crystals

Crystals are highly personal, so when you’re choosing which ones to have in your space, go with the ones that you feel drawn to. They might almost feel as though they’re calling out to you! Or, if you don’t get a feeling from them at all, come at it from a different perspective. What do you want to get from them? For example, are you looking for energy and drive, or peace and serenity? I’m drawn to amethyst, so I have lots of clusters dotted around my house as I find they comfort me and have healed me in the past. Here are all my favourite crystals and what they’re loved and known for:

Amethyst

Amethyst helps support wealth and business success and heals causes of disease. It also magnifies the energy of other crystals, which I like!

Rainbow Fluorite

This crystal is good for focusing my mind, maintaining health and gives clarity and calmness. If you find you’re buzzing with ideas and energy and need to focus to take action, this could be an excellent choice.

Labradorite

Labradorite is known for helping with mental sharpness and allowing magic to happen. It stabilises your aura and chakras, so is a great choice!

Smokey Quartz

This crystal is good for grounding you, helping with relaxation and meditation. It’s also know for helping with negativity and anger, so if you feel pressures from work or other circumstances out of your control build up, this is a good one to try.

Citrine

The money stone, this crystal brings abundance and wealth – perfect for me as a money and mindset coach! And it’s also good for self-esteem and auras.

Obsidian

Obsidian brings wisdom and protection and is a good support for learning. We’re all on a spiritual journey and learning more about ourselves all the time, so why not try this one?

Rose Quartz

And finally, I love rose quartz because it magnifies creativity, which for a self-employed business owner is so important. It’s also good for forgiveness and love and helps you to be calm.

Not sure if you’re ready to embrace spirituality?

I understand that to some people, the idea of embracing crystals, angels and moon magic might sound slightly too far ‘out there’ for them. But remember, it’s a journey! Start where I did, learning about harnessing your thoughts, the law of attraction and the universe, and see where it takes you.

I truly believe that every single one of us has a spiritual journey to go on, and whether you want to take it (or not) is up to you. I do know that the more spiritual I become, the more whole a person I am. It is like something has awakened in me and I am happier now than I have ever been. So, why not open your mind to the possibilities? I’m always available for a natter over a coffee, in person if you’re in the New Forest/Dorset area, or online if you’re not!
