There’s something I hear all the time from women in business: “I feel like I should be able to handle this.” Maybe you’ve thought it yourself. In my experience it doesn’t matter how successful or accomplished women are, they still need support from time to time. I wonder, does this sound familiar:

You’ve built something amazing. You’ve hit the goals you set yourself. You’re ticking off your to do list. You’re probably supporting a list of other people – clients, team members, family and friends. And yet… things still feel hard sometimes. You feel the pressure and question your decisions. You wonder if you’re allowed to say you’re struggling, even a little bit.

Here’s the truth that no one talks about enough: success doesn’t make you invincible. It doesn’t mean you’ll never wobble again, and it doesn’t mean that you don’t need help. In fact, the more success you have, the more important it becomes to surround yourself with the right kind of support.

There’s absolutely no need to go it alone, whatever your goals are. If you’re hoping to add team members, start an entirely new business or get a better work/life balance – you can’t do it all alone.

Success brings new challenges

We’re often sold this idea that support is only for beginners. Once you’ve “made it”, you should be able to juggle everything on your own. But in my experience, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Think about it, top tennis players and Olympic athletes still have coaches!

Success brings with it more responsibility, more visibility and more expectations. People look to you for leadership. Your diary gets fuller, and you’ve got more balls in the air and more on the line. And while that can be exciting, it can be stressful too.

It’s not about having a breakdown or burning out (although sadly, that happens too). It’s about giving yourself permission to feel supported, even when things are going well.

Support is a success habit

When I look at the women I admire, the ones doing big things with heart and integrity, they’ve all got one thing in common: they don’t pretend to be superhuman.

They have mentors and coaches. They invest in guidance, community and perspective and it’s not because they’re weak or lost, but because they know that support helps them stay aligned and accountable.

I’ve come to truly believe that support isn’t a luxury. It’s a success habit. It keeps you anchored when your mindset wobbles. It reminds you of your magic when imposter syndrome creeps in. And it helps you stretch your capacity to hold more of everything that matters to you: more income, more visibility, more joy, more ease.

Mindset matters at every level

A lot of women assume that once they earn more, their money mindset will automatically be “fixed”. But the truth is, every new income level brings new beliefs to unravel.

No matter what someone I work with is earning, the same themes come up again and again: Am I worthy of this? Can I really charge that? What if it all goes away?

That’s where support, and especially mindset support, makes the difference. It’s not just about spreadsheets or strategies. It’s about feeling safe to receive and believing you’re allowed to succeed on your terms. And that’s totally personal to you!

The Law of Attraction and receiving support

One of the biggest shifts I’ve made through my Law of Attraction work is learning how to receive… not just money, but support, kindness, opportunities and ease.

When we tell ourselves, “I should be able to do this on my own,” we’re blocking the flow. We’re putting up resistance. But when we say, “I’m open to being supported,” it can shift our energy. We allow ourselves to expand.

Support is a form of self-worth. It’s an energetic statement that says, “I matter. My needs matter. I don’t have to do this all alone.” And the more open you are to being supported, the more the Universe can meet you with the help, connections and abundance you’ve been calling in.

I still need support too

And I’m happy to share that I still need support too. I don’t coach others thinking that I’ve got it all figured out. I coach because I’ve lived through so many of the mindset blocks my clients face, so I know what it means to ask for help!

The support I receive from my coach helps me in so many ways. It helps remind me of my ‘why’, my mission, even when things get busy. And it allows me to keep learning without sacrificing my wellbeing or my joy.

If you take one thing away from this blog, it’s that you don’t have to wait until things fall apart to ask for help. And you certainly don’t have to carry the weight of your business alone.

You can be successful and supported, confident and still have questions. And you can definitely be a leader and still need space to breathe – something I share on my social media a lot. So, make sure you remember that support is not a sign of failure. It’s a sign that you value yourself enough to not do it all alone.
